- To start the 2018 election cycle by
- Electing precinct-level party leadership;
- Electing senate district endorsing convention delegates/alternates; and
- Discussing and passing resolutions
The DFL in senate district 41 is fresh off a handful of electoral victories, as two weeks ago voters in New Brighton and Fridley voted for our endorsed candidates for local offices. It feels good to celebrate these successes. But we also had a few defeats, and It’s important to learn from our losses so that we do not repeat our missteps on future campaigns.
Because in 50 weeks, Minnesotans will again go to the polls and will vote for who will be our next governor and which party will control the Minnesota House. Every election is important, but the impact this election will have on the future of Minnesota cannot be overstated.
That’s why you should join us in jump-starting the 2018 election cycle by attending precinct caucuses on Tuesday, February 6. There will be an opportunity to meet area DFLers and discuss the future of the party’s leadership, elected officials and platform. These are important decisions that deserve your input, so please plan to attend.
If you have any questions about the caucus or convention process, please do not hesitate to reach out to DFL SD41’s Outreach Officer Rachel Nelson by email (email@example.com) or phone (763-234-0447). Stay tuned for more information on volunteer opportunities, caucus training and more!
