Mary Granlund

Running For
Minnesota House 41B

Mary Granlund has lived in Columbia Heights, MN for over 15 years. She has maintained a constant volunteer presence in the community, starting in the schools & branching out to the larger community to create lasting change. Because of this, she was asked to join the inaugural mental-health specific medical mission trip to Amman, Jordan in June, 2019. Subsequently, she was named a “Local Hero” of 2019 by The Life (formerly The Sun-Focus). But, to her husband and their two sons, Mary G is not a licensed social worker who volunteers her time with organizations committed to providing effective mental health care to the world’s most vulnerable residents, she is also a wife and mother who better bring her “A” game to their standing Friday night board games.

Minnesota House 41B

As an organizer, I bring together Minnesotans to make progress on climate change and economic justice. I’m running because I’ve seen the power of bringing people together and know even more is possible when legislators organize their colleagues to make progress on the issues that matter most. I’m honored to have three labor endorsements and am the only candidate to get the Governor’s signature on legislation. I’m endorsed by Barb Goodwin, Kate Knuth, Erin Murphy, OutFront, and the DFL Environmental Caucus. I have the legislative experience, community organizing experience, and courage to go to right to work for our district.

Maret Olson

Running For
Minnesota House 41B

I’ve lived in New Brighton, then St Anthony for over twenty years, working as a trial lawyer solving problems for clients both big and small.  Now I’d like to solve problems for House 41B. Progressive values like racial justice, environmental protection, and health care, are under attack or being quietly disbanded.  The state legislature is an more important firewall to preserve our values and protect the most vulnerable.  We need creative, knowledgeable, tireless problem solvers. My priorities are preserving affordable health care and women’s reproductive rights, expanding affordable housing, addressing climate change and passing sensible gun reform measures.
